The day weaves together simple education, gentle slow flow yoga, nourishing plant-based lunch and deep sound healing, creating space to slow down, reset and learn in a relaxed, supportive environment.
For those who have joined us before, you experience the heart of what makes Back to Basics so special and this time we’ve allowed more space in the day for the much-loved wholefood creation workshop so Nat can teach and share — without rushing.
And for the first time, we’re also including a natural skincare creation workshop, where you’ll learn what truly belongs on your skin while creating something beautiful to take home.
This day isn’t about being perfect or turning your life upside down. It’s about understanding your body, how it works, and how everyday choices — food, skincare, household products, stress and lifestyle — shape how we feel.
Nat shares over 20 years of lived experience in a simple, practical way — including all the lessons learned along the way — so you don’t have to spend years figuring it out yourself. You’ll leave understanding what actually matters, what doesn’t, and where to begin, with knowledge that can support both you and your family.

Meet Your Host — Nat Wright
Nat is the founder of Verissima Health and the heart behind the Back To Basics philosophy. With more than 20 years of experience across natural health, wholefoods, skincare and fasting, she’s been guiding women to live simply, reconnect with nature, and feel good in their own skin long before it became trendy.
Nat has walked the talk when it comes to living simply and sustainably.
She’s sat in kitchens alongside incredible cooks and chefs, learning the art of using wholefoods as medicine. She’s been mentored by respected fasting and longevity teachers and spends time overseas facilitating extended fasts — supporting people through some of the most transformative experiences of their lives.
In 2009, Nat purchased Verissima Natural Skincare and, guided by her passion for natural health, set about aligning the range with her values. With grit and heart, she reformulated every product using only natural or organic ingredients — each chosen with a clear purpose. Her dedication saw the brand proudly become Australian Certified Toxic Free®, highlighting that what we put on our skin is just as important as what we put in our bodies.
When she’s not running retreats or sharing her health knowledge, you’ll find her on her family’s 25-acre property in the Avon Valley — raising chickens and sheep, planting fruit trees, and diving into sustainable living (she even gave cropping a crack… once!).
It’s all part of her passion for keeping things real and in rhythm with nature, without being a purist.
