Chest Rub – natural vapor rub

Oh I love this time of year. The coolness of the mornings, the beautiful sunrises I get to witness from our veranda, the wood fire warming our house. I could ramble. But what also comes with the winter chill is the sniffy noses, the coughs, the blocked sinuses; you know what I’m on about. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have a natural alternative to petroleum based products such as Vicks Vapor rub, Petroleum Jelly to help you through this time?

You can, how exciting is that? But why would you?

Well petroleum is basically fuel and I’d rather put that in my car than on my skin. More importantly though is that there are numerous studies published on it’s estrogenic activity which is concerning because it means there is more than just a chance that it can cause adverse health effects. Sometimes even at low doses right from fetal stages through juvenile stages and into adult hood. For me, I’d like to choose a safer option which is why we only use natural plant based ingredients, Australian Certified Toxic Free and Australian Certified Allergen Free to make our Chest Rub.

 We suggest you rub some on your back, well, get someone else to help with this. Rub some on your chest and around your throat. Get on with your day.

At night, do it all again AND pop some on the soles of your feet too. Yes, do it!

Once you’ve oiled up your feet with our chest rub, pop some socks on and slide through the house. Then, tuck yourself up in bed and get a good rest.
